There is only one other RV lot which may be occupied on this ranch - which is some distance away from this lot--so it is very private and quiet so that you can have peace of mind to enjoy the rural life. The location of the ranch is ranch 30 minutes to all the shopping and facilities that Lakewood Ranch offers. Laundry facilities available on site.

Responsibilities include care and maintenance of livestock (cows and chickens) and other miscellaneous farm maintenance activities including driving Kubota tractor for small ranch. Perfect for those interested in a sustainable, quiet private lifestyle away from the noise and distraction in the world. Minimum 12 month commitment. Must stay through summer months to care for the land while owner is away.

Must have direct relevant experience and proven track record in roles requiring daily work to be completed and be self-starters, work independently, be problem-solvers and learners with a servant's heart temperment. Prior recent experience in managing sustainable lifestyle living and ranch care such as care of garden, and livestock which includes driving the tractor to perform farm-related tasks-- are required.

20 hour total work week spread across each day of the week. Applicants are required to have supplemental source of income such as social security, retirement, pension, other. This is a work in exchange for RV housing, lot and utilities situation - there is no cash salary paid. Note you must be physically active and able to lift 50 pound bag of feed.

Applicants who have jobs which would require leaving the property on a daily basis will not be considered. For those individuals who work from home and require high speed internet, there is a separate high speed internet line available for use for a monthly fee.

This opportunity is well suited for a married couple who want to stay active in retirement. Maximum two people from same family may occupy the rv and lot.

Indoor cat allowed. No other pets may be considered as we have large friendly guard dog who roams freely on the property to perform their duty to protect the livestock.

Background check required. Security deposit of $500 required. Not suitable for children.

Desired experience: individuals who have previously served in government service positions such as the military or law enforcement.
