Description

Our well-loved Keystone Cougar X-Lite is ready for its next set of adventures.

Original owner was a service manager for Keystone, and oversaw the construction of this unit. He had a few custom extras installed at the factory, including a heat vent that blows across the entryway for a quick warm-up on cold days, and a 60-gallon fresh water tank normally only used in Keystone's high-end fifth wheels. The camper has been stored inside or covered during winter. It has been professionally maintained, always getting any needed repairs promptly.

Bunks are a favorite feature for our kids, and they are huge full-size spaces large enough for 2 in each bunk. The couch folds out to sleep 1 or 2 adults, and there is the queen bed in the master bedroom.

The good:
- New high-end Michelin tires installed in Fall of 2021. Ready for many more seasons.
- All systems work exactly as they should; hot heat through the central ducting, cold A/C through the roof-mounted unit, plenty of juice from the deep-cycle 12V battery, smooth operation of the slides, power main awning extends and retracts and is in good shape, auto levelers work perfectly, etc.
- Slide awning over the main slide means it's clean and tidy under there. The smaller bedroom slide has been kept clean as well, though we have not seen a need for its own awning.
- Excellent suspension keeps this camper rolling smoothly over all sorts of terrain.

Every 5-year-old camper is going to have a few nicks. Here they are:
- A blowout left a dent in the trim behind the passenger-side rear wheel. See pictures. (If only Keystone had started with the Michelins!).
- There's a little dent/damage, about the size of a quarter, in the rear panel. See pictures. It dates from before our time with the camper, has been repaired and waterproofed, and continues to be a non-issue for us.
- The black tank level readings on the interior monitor have never been accurate - a common issue.
- The outdoor fridge runs too cold, sometimes.
- The stove sparker only works for one burner. We use a lighter for the other two.

Extras! This camper has been enhanced in various ways, and includes the following:
- Propane level monitoring. There are sensors on the bottom of each tank which send a signal to the monitor inside (see pictures - the top monitor). You can also get an app ("Tank Check") for use with your smartphone.
- Power monitoring system by Efergy. AC power is displayed real-time (see pictures - the right monitor).
