Description

We are selling our RVIA certified 2021 Summit Pikes Peak, built on the 2020 Ford Transit AWD chassis. Regarding the chassis, it is absolutely wonderful. Compared to the sprinter this is a sports car. Very comfortable, does great in snow, and can handle mountain passes with ease thanks to the EcoBoost engine.

One standout feature of this van is the AMF Bruns Smartfloor with rated L-track throughout. This floor gives the van a LOT of functionality and versatility. If an item fits in the van, it can be safely secured using the L-track in the floor (motorcycles, bikes, etc.). I also have 4 seats that have quick mounts into the floor, for a total safe seating capacity of 6.

There is a nice stainless sink with residential high rise faucet. Induction cooktop, microwave, and Isotherm refrigerator/freezer. The bed is murphy style and folds down from each side of the van to make a 60x79" bed. There is space under the bed for cots or sleeping pads as well. You can also fold down half of the bed to make a great table/workspace area. Above the bed is a Dometic Penguin 2 13,500BTU A/C to keep things cool in the summer. There is a 18 gallon water tank and 12v pump that feeds the sink and an outdoor spray port.

There are 2x105Ah Lion Energy lithium batteries, 2x90W Zamp solar panels on the roof, and a Redarc DC-DC charger to charge via the van's alternator. There is also a Xantrex Freedom XC 2000W inverter for AC power, and a 30 amp connection on the exterior. Led ceiling lights and an RGB light strip for indirect lighting along the ceiling. This system has proven to be plenty with the solar easily keeping up with the lights, refrigerator, and heater use without plugging in.

The heater is an Espar B4 gas furnace that pulls gas from the van's fuel tank. It works quite well and I have had no problems keeping the inside warm during 0F mountain nights in winter. Finally, there is a ARB air compressor that allows you to quicky inflate tires, or anything really.

RVIA certification means you can get RV financing up to 240 months.

Please feel free to shoot me questions or ask for more photos. Happy to meet up and show the van in person as well!

NOTE: Summit Adventure Vans recently changed their name to Antero due to trademark issues with Chinook. This van is now called the Kakadu.
