Description
**Setup for cyclists who want to keep their bikes inside**
230W of Solar, 3 x 100 amp/hr AGM batteries
Upgrades:- Custom, tig-welded, super lite, aluminum bike bracket that bolts direct to the bumper and is easily removable. Holds two bikes in an ‘east-west’ orientation at the rear of the garage, allowing for maximum room forward. This setup is only possible with the slightly wider garage of the 2020 & earlier models.- Custom 6in bed risers made with 80/20 materials. Allows bikes to fit under bed.- Custom cut ‘cooling’ mattress topper AND custom mattress. Both from Mattress Insider- Stereo upgrade: door speakers w/ sound deadening, new tweeters, and sub-woofer mounted to driver’s seat base. - Bamboo for galley: sink cover & extension cover to make total counter ‘flush’- Berkey Water filter & mount- Gray tank dump valve was removed. Installed a 1/4 turn ball valve — frees you from requiring dump facilities.- Rear doors insulated with 1in foam board from Home Depot - Xantrax DC to DC charger installed under passenger seat: allows starter battery to be trickle charged from solar, but AFTER house batteries are topped off first.- AC Removed, never missed it! Installed a second Maxxfan in its place. It’s sleeping perfection.- Roof access port installed for running misc wires. - MB floor mats- Spare tire underneath. (All are KO2’s on Method rims)- ‘Pro-Clip’ phone holder. I had the charging cord run under the dash while the stereo was being upgraded.- Van had a 2yr ceramic coat put on immediately after purchase- Voltage regulator for Maxxfans under bench seatOther Misc Info:- AGM batteries are new (1 month)- Brand new Thetford toilet cassette in the box- I’ve never had pets or smoked in the van- Van has had A & B services already. First oil change was at 16k, second oil change at 26k. I was planning on doing 10k changes going forward.- Practically no off-roading. Other than one weekend exploring some tame fire roads, the van has been on the tarmac the entire time. Its been my remote office.- Van is super clean and in great shape. There are a couple little scratches here & there; but they’re faint. The passenger side running board has a dent in it. No accidents. Someone did back into the van in a parking lot—leaving a dimple near the rear—photo below, it’s been fixed.
I love this thing! New job prospects are forcing me to pass this adventure pod to someone else.
