Description

The 183 is the perfect starter travel trailer for the family. We’ve taken this camper and our extended family on many memorable trips to Pennsylvania state parks. We bought this unit to replace a popup camper and it changed camping into “glamping.” Recently, we ordered a new camper for our retirement and it is due to arrive any day now. The Shamrock is perfect for first-time campers or if you are moving up from a pop-up camper like we did. Because the towing weight is less than 5000 lbs, you can pull this with an SUV or small pickup truck and it is short enough to make towing and backing up a breeze, plus it’s big enough for all of your stuff. The Shamrock 183 and its cousin the Rockwood Roo 183 can provide the real camping experience of sleeping in the woods. Three queen beds fold out to make a small travel trailer into a large camper experience. As a bonus, the beds are heated and each has its own fan with light. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of storage. It has a large gas/electric refrigerator, 3 burner stove, large oven, and microwave. Naturally, there is an HDTV, DVD player, and AM/FM radio with six speakers which makes this camper great for tailgating. We added the JT Strongarms to make the trailer floor more solid on the campsite. The unit includes a never-used gas grill and side table. The A/C works great for super hot days. Most days we used the two Maxaire covered (no worries about rain) power vents to draw cool outside air inside. There’s a full bath with shower and cabinet storage above and below. Outside, you’ll find another shower nicely positioned for privacy. The camper has spent most of its life stored in the garage you can see in the background of the pictures. The layout is identical to the 2022 models and features the white exterior color which is often an upgrade for new units. We want you to be aware of some minor issues. There’s a pinhole in the awning. The edging on one countertop is loose, there’s a stain on the shower floor, and the water heater has never been used, so the anode may need to be replaced. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed this cozy camper. Now it’s your turn to have years of adventures!
