Description

I built this custom conversion in Fall 2019 to accommodate my father's needs on his six-month bucket list National Park tour after years of illnesses - Toyota safety features (Lane Keep Assist, Active Cruise Control Assist, etc.), a large freezer, an electrical system powerful enough to handle a 1200w blender, and super stealth mode. His March 2020 trip was cut short. He and I used the van for summer 2021 in the Adirondacks. I’ve been nominated to chauffeur him on this second attempt (re-emergent health concerns) and I’d love to take this van because I do fit. However, it's going to be easier, functionally, to upgrade to a full-sized RV. 2018 Toyota Sienna SE, V6, average 25 mpg, nearly new tires and brakes. Presently runs great, inspected, insured, and in use as a daily driver. Build was done to be removable; no damage was done to original vehicle and all pieces will convey. Electrical: Renogy 170 ah smart Lithium battery; 2000w inverter charger; DC/DC charge controller (car engine charges Li in ~4 hours); 2-100w solar panels (accessible fuse allows safe system repair); dc/dc monitor; and battery monitor. Also, 2 battery voltage gauges, circuit breakers, and fuses. All electronics housed at foot of bed. Plumbing/Kitchen: 23-gallon water tank, Flojet pump with on/off, Surflo pump filter, sink with faucet/sprayer/soap (faucet can control pump). 2 burner induction stove, tea kettle for hot water, counter space, Dometic 75 DZW cooler w/cover (fridge & freezer), AC power outlet at rear. Camco portable toilet, unused. 4 gallon gray tank.Lighting: 12v dual led main light & led reading light w/usb port, w/master on/off switch. Additional 2 usb and 3-12v plugs independent from that on/off switch. HVAC: Roadpro heater wired to thermostat with a firm off position (audible click) and manual disconnect in the wiring for seasonal storage. All-weather dual fan with temperature display permanently installed behind driver. Rear van ventilation accessible and operational.Convenience: 5” foam bed padding, w/custom flannel sheet set. Weathertech floor liners, full set reversible sunshades, four air deflectors, and stone deflector. Custom window screens. Under-bed and under-floor storage. Custom upper cabinets in rear with 3-inch shelf spanning the roof between them. Various hooks, extra fan, Weboost phone system, 4 custom cup holders, front facing led flood light, side-facing motion-activated flood lights.Safety: all electric w/ carbon dioxide & smoke detector.
