Our Solitude holds many special memories for our family. For three years we were a full-time RV family. With our teenagers and our pets we went on a journey exploring different states and making memories. The Grand Design Solitude gave us plenty of space for working remotely, allowing our teen boy and teen girl to have their own spaces, and plenty of floor space for everyone to get around with ease. One of the best parts of the Solitude is the roomy kitchen. There was plenty of space to have more then one cook in the kitchen. The fridge and freezer have lots of room. There is also a pantry and a lot of cabinet space. When we traveled in colder climates, the heated tanks, central heating and cozy fireplace kept us comfortable. In hotter climates the two a/c units and two awnings kept us cool. The kids were too big for the loft space, but it was the perfect place for storage and fishing rods. The mid-bunk room allowed for privacy as well as the master bedroom. Two tv’s with HDMI hook-ups allowed us to attach a PlayStation, stream a movie from our phone, or plug in an Apple TV. As for music, there is a radio, CD-player and indoor/outdoor speakers. We were also able to store a lot in the large bay under the RV. And we utilized the hitch at the back to travel with our bikes. As for navigating, there is a camera on the rear of the RV. This Solitude really has it all. We have been reluctant to sell it, but we are settled in a house now and are looking for a smaller set-up for camping trips.
