This hard-to-find model - 2018 Grand Design Momentum 394M - has an extensive solar package and is ideal for off-grid camping (boondocking). We had an extensive solar system installed with 10 solar panels, 5 x 100 amp-hour lithium batteries, with a strong inverter (with smart function that can run it just on solar, just on shore power, or on generator with just the touch of a button). The solar system provides enough power to run the entire trailer with the exception of the a/c units. We used a window a/c for hot days and the solar system can power that. The RV has 3 slides: 2 huge ones for the main living and one for the bedroom — making the interior about 425 sq ft in total. We love the living room set up. It has an L shaped recliner sofa set which is in front of the fireplace and 50 inch TV and another 2 recliner sofa unit opposite it. There’s room for everyone! The “garage” is a great flex space. It has 2 queen size bunk beds that are on a happy jack system and will move up and down depending on how you want to use the space. It can also be used as a dining room as it has bench seats and a table. It does NOT have a 1/2 bath. In addition, the rear ramp can be used to get your ATVs or motorcycles in OR can be set up as an outdoor patio. When used as a patio there are sliding doors between the patio and garage to keep the bugs out of your RV. The master bedroom has 2 closets, 2 nightstands, and other storage compartments along with a huge under-bed storage area. It has a memory foam queen sized bed. The kitchen has lots of storage and counter space. In fact, there is a pull out counter and the after market rolling cabinet-counter which when used together create a fully enclosed kitchen for baking and cooking. We have a convention microwave as well as the propane oven and 3 gas burner stove top. There are 4 TVs (including an outdoor one), an indoor and outdoor speaker system, 3 air conditioners, vented propane heating, and so much more! In addition, we are including a high-end custom skirt made by www.customskirting.com. It was $3500 and has enabled us to camp for extended periods in snow and sub freezing weather. The RV comes equipped with a 4-season package including tank heaters. No one has ever smoked in it. We do have a dog and a cat. The cat has made some scratches on the furnishings and bedroom carpet. We have factored this into the price as this RV would be about $140k new (with the $15k solar system). The detailed build out specs are in a photo.
