Description

LemonSquad report with 100+ photos

This is a standard 2020 Travato 59K with some enhancements: Safe Drive Systems Collision Avoidance System (same as installed on fleets), Progressive Systems EMS, remote control for the generator, auxiliary switch in the bathroom for the water pump, privacy curtain, exterior windshield cover, K02 tires, original tires (stored in bags in garage), A/C control panel replaced with a Bluetooth model (original panel as a spare), vacuum relief valve in freshwater tank to prevent damage and keep tank full while filling.

The collision avoidance system is the same unit that Safe Drive has installed on many fleets of vehicles. It uses RADAR to suggest safe following distances and alarms you if you are too close or a collision is considered imminent, however, it does not activate the brake system. It also watches the lane markers and alerts you if you get too close to the edge of your lane, however it does not move the steering wheel. The system is configurable by the end-user. Despite being just a visual and audible system, it has paid for itself many times.

The Progressive Systems EMS is hardwired and eliminates the need for a pedastal "dog-bone" that can get stolen. It is always on the job, but does have a switch to disengage it if necessary.

We installed K02 tires for snowy weather but those tires have seen snow for maybe 2-3 days. The original tires, without rims were bagged and stacked in our garage, have about 6,000 miles on them, and are included in the sale.

The remote for the generator lets us turn the generator off if we forget or on to run the house A/C, all without having to stop. My plan included connecting the control to a "carputer" and implementing an auto-off feature.

The Travato has had the shift cable recall work performed and all oil changes. Only issue was hitting a small traffic cone that broke the leading cap on the driver's running board and then broke the gray water drain pipe - both have been repaired.
