1997 Trek Safari 2430 with 39,000 low miles! This motorhome has been taken care of and has had 100% service and all the necessary updates to keep it on the road. We've done a lot of work to this RV and wouldn't hesitate driving to anywhere. If you haven't heard of a Trek Safari, I would suggest looking them up. These Coaches are top of the line and sold new for over $100k back in 1997. There are so many factors that set this RV aside from the rest, everything from an aluminum siding to all wood cabinets, large bus like front windows, large kitchen and bath, and very sturdy and well built all around. Drop down bed removed- 2 couches fold out into beds. *Price drop 10/27 allowance for buyer to install a Custom Futon or fold out bed etc I'm talking to a custom futon builder to possibly install something nice before the sale.
It's 100% contained with large Gel House Batteries + 3500 watt Kubota Diesel Generator with only 220 hours, it gets fuel from the 80 gallon coach tank. Full shower, propane hot water, toilet, 2 sinks etc Most of the lights have been converted to LED and the main cabin ceiling light with a LED dimmable fixture. GM 6.5L Turbo Diesel just getting broken in, Chevy P30 chassis.
1. new high volume water pump from Heath Diesel (original water pump was low volume./too small). This includes the upgraded Duramax fan/clutch assembly (coach runs cool up a mountain). Neccessary upgrade!
2. SSDieselSupply new PMD fuel injection unit with a Heat Sync. The original PMD still works and is located in-between the valley of the engine for backup.
3. Alternator replaced with new higher output alternator, new isolator added at the same time.
3. Service:: regular oil changes/oil sent into lab and all test results are normal, 7000 miles suggestion per oil change. Rear differential oil changed City Transmission Asheville / all points greased Automatic Transmission Rebuilt with Heavy Duty Parts / 3 year / 35,000 mile warranty / Rebuilt less than 10,000 miles ago ($5800). Brakes inspected and good. 4 New Michelen X tires on rear, front tires Firestone were inspected.
5. All carpet removed and floor caulked/sealed with Sherwin Williams Procryl. New custom Teak floor installed ($3000). (no old carpet smells. Cockpit sound proofed with Noico.
6. Fan in bathroom ceiling replaced with new high powered fan. We have always kept the windows cracked and exhaust fans running when parked (when not raining).
