Don’t judge an Airstream by its shell. This mid-century beauty has many interior upgrades like a handcrafted custom brass sink, new Acacia wood flooring, white quartz countertops, new light fixtures, new Dometic a/c unit as well as retaining many of the original features like the Walnut veneer closets, panels and even the Airstream outdoor handle as well as the original glass camping light on the inside and cool screen door. Multiple oversized windows open out and have screens to allow air flow. There is a ton of storage inside and out. The flooring as well as the subfloor and structural metal has been replaced with genuine Acacia engineered flooring. In addition the escape hatch as well as one of the roof vents has been replace with custom new. The axles and tires have been inspected and are good to go.
The water lines have all been replaced and the water heater has been converted to Electric. For a long time I could not get water to the shower and upon replacing the flooring my contractor told me that the way they had put the floor had covered up the water tank so it was never going to work. He has since replaced the metal underneath the Airstream as well as the subfloor and has uncovered that tank so it can run water to the bathroom. I have not hooked it up since that work was done to verify. But he is an excellent contractor and I'm sure that that is true. The only work it really needs is more on the outside. In terms of cosmetic as well as replacing the turn signal lights and such. It originally came from New York and was brought to me on a Low Boy trailer.
