Description

FEATURES: 2012 Host Everest 4-Season Camper. Off-grid package-professionally installed, ~$20,000 in value. Everything is on an inverter and the bank of batteries continues to charge via the solar panels. 6 Battle Born 100-amp batteries with room to add more. The solar panels have room for at least 2 more panels. The camper is prewired/plumbed for an onboard propane generator.
OFF-GRID: See screenshots of the components of the off-grid package and all are top of the line. The system includes many parts, but if you look on Amazon you'll see reviews like this one for the batteries - Battle Born LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery-100Ah 12v. The off-grid package is well thought out in that the lead-based batteries are still available as a backup. Also, there are shut-offs installed to allow for rebooting the system if needed. Both of the monitors allow for bluetooth connection to apps on your cell phone. Knowing what is left on the batteries, how long they will last given the current usage at the time, and the rate of charge coming from the solar panels is nice.
FAVORITES:
There are two, 7.5 gallon propane tanks and one tank will last about a full week of camping in the winter since it is the main source of heat. During the other seasons you might get by with filling them once per season depending on your usage
The windows are double-paned and the Solar Cool Reflective Glass keeps the camper cool in the summer and warm in the winter
The 13,500 BTU high-efficiency air conditioner is more than adequate to cool the interior
This Host camper will sleep 6 adults
The microwave/convection oven is brand new
OTHER:
The water heater is either gas or electric
Large 8 cu ft refrigerator for gas or electric
Stubbed out for an exterior barbeque
The exterior is fiberglass and the frame is ultra-light aluminum (no wood framing to rot)
The jacks are electric and include a remote
The holding tanks are enclosed and heated
The heater is a 20,000 BTU forced air furnace
Approximately 70-gallon freshwater tank, 38 gallons for black, and 38 gallons for greywater
Exterior shower
There is a rearview camera to be plugged into truck
Sirius AM/FM/CD stereo with 4 speakers & exterior speakers
WATERTIGHT ROOF:
The roof is a single sheet of material and we have never had any leaks. Most of our camping is in the snow so with snow freezing/thawing on the roof, the water-tightness was tested. However, before the solar panels went up we re-sealed nuts, caulking, and around vents and other roof fixtures.
