2016 Airstream Interstate Grand Tour Ext We are selling it in order to transition to an Airstream trailer. We chose a white Interstate because they stay so much cooler inside than the darker (silver or black versions) on warm days and were not disappointed. We have had a number of wonderful adventures in this but have a need for some additional space so some of our grown children may have an opportunity to join us on our next adventure. This vehicle has been stored under hard cover since it left the RV lot. It had its Mercedes Benz "B" service in Fall '20 and I replaced both batteries with Lifeline AGM's at the same time. I keep the batteries "fresh" while under cover with a 100W solar charger (conveyance negotiable). We toured a number of national parks last summer (20 states and 7500mi) and I could not have been more impressed with the Mercedes 3500 Sprinter frame. We averaged 18.5mpg (usually at 65-70mph). The turbo diesel handled the mountains out west without a deviation from the cruise control setting. In short, an amazing vehicle. I have trailered much of my life but my wife had not. This vehicle introduced her to the RV lifestyle and she's a fan, but we are now focused on a towable trailer for the additional 2 sleeping positions. This RV is in superb condition in/out and. It has had its Mercedes airbag recall addressed as well as a Mercedes directed emissions upgrade which effectively extends the warranty on many of the engines components. The new warranty is transferable to a new owner. I will include a never used Pleasureway inflatable bed designed to fit across the 2 front seats that allows one additional person a place to sleep. Although the queen/king bed is very comfortable, we have become used to a memory foam mattress, so we purchased a fitted memory foam insert which I will include as well.
