Mercedes/Freightliner 3500 (dual rear wheels) 4WD 144" Highroof Camper w/ under 40k miles. This van is built for durability and low maintenence. The immaculate, bulletproof buildout was the pet project of a race car fabrication team (info provided upon request). All interior framing is welded, tubular steel, sided with marine Starboard. The rear bench seat folds down into a larger-than-queen sized bed. A Wabasto diesel heater provides hot water from a custom, 40 gallon, welded plastic tank to the marine grade sink and double drain shower using a Flojet pump. Kyocera solar panels feed a Midnight Solar charge controller and two marine grade, gel batteries to give you plenty of 12V power. The spacious roof rack includes sleeping platforms for two. Everything is top notch: Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires (including two spares), a Viair compressor (located under the passenger seat), Isotherm refrigerator/freezer, Brunton portable stove, all steel RV Components storage cabinets, marine grade plumbing (all internal for cold weather), immaculate wiring, three layer insulation, Jensen TV, powered roof vent. Between the 4WD, 3L diesel engine, Duratrac tires, high clearance and custom skid plates, this van will taker you where other vans can't go.

This is not a "vanlife" van. Most buildouts sacrifice durability to provide comfort at a reasonable price with the expectation that the user will hop from campground to campground. Wood framing, stapled veneers and thin plywood simply won't stand up to rugged, offroad use. The welded internal framing in this van connects the floor to the roof to the walls - it actually stiffens and stabilizes the main compartment. There are no rattles or pieces that will work loose. Unlike plywood, the Starboard siding has been proven in marine usage and is temperature stable, waterproof and easy to clean. This van is designed to take you, along with a few friends or family members out for several days of hunting, climbing, fishing or kayaking to locations that would be unobtainable in a Promaster, Transit or 2 wheel drive Sprinter.

PLEASE NOTE: IF THE AD IS UP, THE VAN IS STILL AVAILABLE. There is no built in toilet but the shower is large enough to accomodate a portable, cassette toilet. Title is clean. The van was recently serviced by Mercedes and given a clean bill of health - there are no issues with this van.
