Description

SOLD to a new family from Southern California. Thank you for considering me.

Before you take me home, you should know a little about me.

In August, 1987 I found myself on a thing called an assembly line in a “Blue Bird” factory in Fort Valley, Georgia. There was one of these assembly lines for yellow buses to take children to school. I was on a second assembly line for special buses made as homes on wheels. They called me a “Wanderlodge”. Although the yellow buses looked pretty cool, my shades of blue and silver paint is even better.

Since that assembly line, I’ve had 3 families and am now looking for number 4. Now don’t misunderstand, all of my families have loved me. It’s just that families change (I’m told that happens), and it’s time to move on down the road.

My my first family took me home to Washington State from a dealer in San Diego, California. My second family returned me to California to a warmer place called Ventura. In 1993, my third family took me home to their apple farm near Placerville, California where I lived in a thing called a Quonset hut when we weren’t on the road. They took me all over the Western United States and Canada. One time we stayed in a campground in Idaho next to a drive in movie. The three children watched Mulan from the couch bed through the windshield and listening on my radio. Usually our adventures were all good. However, one time they took me on a strange thing called a “ferry” across Puget Sound. Although I was more than a bit scared, we made it to San Juan Island and then to Victoria.

Eleven years ago my family returned me to Ventura. I live in a nice cozy building at Ventura Harbor. My family takes me to the Ventura County Parks on the coast at Rincon a few days each month. We do something called “dry camping”. Peculiar term, because there is always water in my 200 gallon storage tank and there’s lots of water in that ocean we park next to. Other campers stop and look at me all the time. They say things like Ooh and Awe. Although I don’t know what that means, they are always smiling when they say it. Some think I’m a school bus. One really cool looking couple said I’m the best “Skoolie” ever. However, I know I’m a Blue Bird “Wanderlodge”.

Now, for some of my attributes that aren’t in the detail section below.

Tech: ZF auto trans, 6 Michelin tires, 8000 watt diesel generator, 5 awnings, and set up to tow dingy. Inside: microwave/convection oven, propane stove, 3 propane furnaces, 3 elect heaters.
