Description

I love this camping van. It's fully dry-camping functional; easy to drive; has great handling; gets excellent fuel economy; and is compact with all the luxuries. Now that I'm a widow I have decided to live with family back East and this won't fit in my suitcase!

This layout provides for a large bathroom, six cubic foot refrigerator, big wardrobe and extended galley area, while still leaving the bank of passenger side windows clear and unobstructed. I enjoy the combination of the fully opening side door, sliding screen door and generous 6 foot Corian countertop. The dining area is comfy with an optional Lagun table installed. The electric powered couch easily makes into a king size bed. Enjoy open views with the tinted windows all around. The back doors can be opened as well and this van has the optional roll down screen to keep the critters out. I couldn't find a camper van with seat belts for four. This is it!

The Plateau is built on a diesel-powered Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, supported by a 3500-series frame with dual rear wheels. It's powerful, economical and very easy to drive. Fuel economy is impressive with a best combined city/highway consumption of 17.4 mpg.

Safety systems built into the Sprinter chassis are those most people expect these days. However, Pleasure Way went a step further and purchased the Mercedes Active Safety Plus Package. This package includes a lane departure warning and an active steering system which helps resist side winds. Here, Mercedes acknowledges that driving a vehicle with a large side surface area in crosswinds can be trying. Rather than just leaving it to the driver to counter steer, the van actively works to keep itself straight, and if you do leave your lane it will let you know. Other systems include a blind-spot assist, and a collision prevention assist that uses radar to monitor the traffic ahead and offers a warning if the motorhome is closing too fast and, if you don’t react it will also apply the brakes independently. Only had to use that safety feature once but when the semi crossed the road right in front of me I was delighted with the van's response. Stability and traction controls are always on and work in the background to keep the motorhome going straight in all weather conditions. They are designed to brake each wheel independently and automatically to prevent an unintended spin-out.

This motorhome has a clear title and has always been registered in California. Its in Ventura CA,
