Description
This is the perfect family camper - providing a private master bedroom, two large bunks, tri-fold sofa, U-shaped dinette and a spacious kitchen.
We ordered the rig directly from a Grand Design dealer in the spring of 2020 and had a 2nd AC unit installed at the factory. With two AC's on this bunkhouse camper, it stays cool! Additional features include an outdoor camp kitchen, electric jack, 19' electric awning, 2 20# propane tanks, battery, ladder, and a recently installed slim shade in the master bedroom. The outdoor kitchen camp stove, the indoor three-burner stove, and the oven are all still brand new and have never been used! This rig is half-ton truck towable!
Included is an EQUAL-I-ZER 4-point sway control weight distribution hitch, (item number 90-00-1000), and sway bracket jackets. The EQUAL-I-ZER WD hitch has a 10,000 lb trailer weight rating and a 1,000 lb tongue weight rating. The EQUAL-I-ZER hitch eliminates the need for add-on sway control devices. When the weight distribution is engaged, the sway control is engaged too - providing you and your family the best protection possible while in transit. The product comes with a lifetime warranty.
Also installed on the 2800BH is a Furrion Vision S, wireless RV observation camera system with side marker light cameras and a 7" touch screen / viewing screen. The cameras are mounted on the camper, are waterproof, and have night vision capabilities. This product was purchased from and installed by the dealer, with safety in mind. The cameras work while you are driving, minimizing blind spots and helping to prevent accidents. When the view screen is mounted on the front windshield, it provides a clear, mirrored image of what is behind you - from the driver's perspective - just like a rear view mirror!
The camper is clean, smoke & pet free. Only damage to the camper is a small mar to the bottom of the entry door where a strong Kansas wind caught the door and caused it to hit the entry step before we were able to properly drop and level the steps. It is purely cosmetic and does not impede the function of the door or stairs.
The camper was received mid-June of 2020 and has been used six times on weekend outings, putting approximately 1,060 miles on the rig and tires. Why get rid of it? We decided to upgrade to a Grand Design 5th Wheel - so that we could continue the Grand Design RV'ing experience with extended family and friends. Title in hand - so no delays!
