2017 ROADTREK ADVENTUROUS CS- This unit provides the ULTIMATE in RV Independence. Equipped with the 800 amp lithium battery system, “under hood” generator, 470 W solar panels, and the ALDE Hydronic heating system, your entire environment is INDEPENDENT of external support. During our period of ownership, WE HAVE YET TO SPEND EVEN ONE NIGHT IN AN RV PARK!  Hydronically heated floors “feel great” and eliminate the annoying characteristics of cycling rushes of hot heater air. The ALDE is a “high end” system which can operate with electrical, propane, or engine heat. The roof air conditioner runs off the inverter, and, like everything else in the coach, is available at all times, including “going down the road”. While camping, the lithium battery capacity is enough to power everything throughout the night, including the 11,000 BTU A/C. Should the available battery voltage reach a certain level, the Volt Start System automatically starts the engine, fully recharges the system in approximately one-half hour, and then shuts down. No owner intervention is required. Lithium batteries became the solution to replace the noisy propane generator that served to make you an “unwelcome visitor” to campers around you. We decided to forego the four-passenger seat option in favor of an additional “pantry”. Additional passengers can be accommodated at the aft couch and the storage/counter space provided by the pantry is invaluable. The RV is built on a Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis, with a 3.0-liter V-6 diesel engine. Fuel economy hovers around 20 MPG. Nearly 100% of our 35,000 miles have been “vehicle-friendly” highway miles. The recommended servicing at 20,000 and 40,000 miles was completed by Mercedes, and is recorded in their system.
