I’m here bringing you the story of this fabulous 2017 Basecamp that we are offering up to a new home. My wife and I have always been Airstream enthusiasts since marriage in 2015, so naturally when the first pictures of the Basecamp started to appear on  the internet, my wife fell in love.  We went to visit Airstream of Virginia to order a new Basecamp in January 2017.We picked up this masterpiece in April 2017 with our BMW X3 and set off for our first overnight experience. We went to a local campground to try it out and actually had some strong thunderstorms with no leaks! It only got better from there as we continued to add supplies and nice little utilities to set up camp. We ventured of with our X3 + Basecamp Combo for about half the weekends of the summer to the Chincoteague Island, Assateague Island, and the Appalachian mountains.

Starting our second year of ownership, we moved to Albuquerque when we did a 10 day trip across the country. By this point, our Basecamp had firmly placed itself in both of our hearts as our little home away from home. We could pop it onto the X3 and effortlessly go exploring while waking up next morning cozy and comfortable making a cup of coffee in our own little happy place. We explored New Mexico on weekends and took longer trips to the Texas Coast as well as Arches National Park on Thanksgiving. Our little home away from home just kept working great and putting smiles on our face no matter where we went or the weather we faced. 

Owning a Basecamp is a magical thing because every time you see it parked in your carport or driveway you will want to go someplace to explore or get away and you start planning a trip to scratch that itch. Unfortunately, for us this comes with a balance of sadness as we have come to the conclusion that as much as we feel at home and love our little Basecamp, there is not room for all the gear required to travel comfortably with 2 adults and an 18 month old crazy youngster. This presents you with the opportunity to start your own story with this Basecamp and allow it find its way into your family and heart.
