I now believe the Trek is the 2430 model after looking at floor plans. The 2430 Has the bathroom and shower in the rear.

This unique motor home was originally owned by Wally Fernez,congo drum and maracas player for Desi Arnaz and the I Love Lucy show. The laminate flooring was so Wally and Robin could dance, as Wally was a prize winning dancer back in the day.

   We purchased the Trek at the tender age of one year, responding to a 3" x 5" card posted at the local mom and pop store here in La Selva Beach. 

   The quality is apparent in the real hardwood cabinetry, upgraded open kitchen and aluminum siding. The Safari Motor Company fell into bankruptcy in 2009 after being acquired by Monaco in 2001. Apparently the coaches built before the Monaco acquisition are more sought after. If you are still reading, you probably knew that.

   Recent maintenance includes new alternator, serpentine belt and heater hoses. Tires have about 9,000 miles and five years on them. Refrigerator also about five years old. Back-up camera and hydraulic levelers make set up easy.

   We have had nearly 20 years of good times with the Trek and its time for the old folks to move on and down size. Our next coach is coming soon.

I believe this is the 2430 model after looking at floorplans. It has the large bathroom in the rear. Also, I replaced the muffler with a better muffler and more direct exhause pipe and wrapped with titanium strap. The original exhaust pipe actually made a U-Turn. Also, K and N intake filter for less resistance. 8 to 10 MPG depending on speed, etc.

The first improvement I made was to replace the 1 1/4" front sway bar with a 1 5/8" bar from IPD Co. New Bilstien shocks all around. Also, air bags in front coil springs. So, the MH handles better and gets better milage than delivered.
