Description

FOR SALE: A really nice and clean 1999 Winnebago Chieftain 33’ RV. I purchased it from a family friend in Orlando back in Dec 2015.

DRIVETRAIN
She might be 21 years old, but still very young at heart. It’s in very great running condition. The V10 Ford drivetrain starts right up; no engine oil leaks and been changed faithfully under my ownership (only synthetic). Tires have only a couple thousand miles on them. LESS THAN 68,000 MILES!

CABIN
Interior in great condition. I’ve made some small repairs in my tenure with some electrical issues with cabin lights. I’ve also had the LED panel replaced above the stove so you can get all the readings on gray/black tanks, etc. Also replaced water heater in last year. Both A/C units working great! Slide out works great!

KNOWN ISSUES:
Known issues to be addressed:

  • Needs new refrigerator at some point. It only runs on propane at the moment, not electricity.
  • Generator works great, but needs a tuneup.
  • Some cosmetic issues here and there just with wear over 20 years. But, still, looks great inside!
  • Overhead light fixture in bedroom doesn’t work, but lamps do, so not a critical repair.
  • Bathroom/kitchen fixtures work, but are aged and leak a lil around seals when water is on.
  • There was a leak from an old seal on the roof at some point and some minor water damage above shower, but was fixed and hasn’t been an issue in the last couple years. No other water leaks or damage from roof.
  • Rear hydraulic lifts are getting slower to go up and down, but I use cinderblocks and it hasn’t been an issue going up and down a lil bit. If you go down all the way, then you might have issues getting them back up without a hydraulic jack.
  • Some seals around outdoor lights above windshield have gone bad and water leaking in tends to burn out bulbs quickly.
  • Front passenger side fiberglass quarter panel is coming off a lil, but that’s an easy fix with some new screws/velcro.
  • I added a cabin battery disconnect switch by entry stairs. If cabin batteries are left connected when RV in storage, they tend to run down over time.
  • Propane tank has a very small leak (slow over time in storage), but not noticeable unless left sitting for months.

Overall, this is a FANTASTIC RV with a ton of life left in it for some family to enjoy for years to come. It sleeps 6 (2 adults and 4 kids comfortably).
