It is a nature paradise with all sorts of wild animals. The Castor River is one of the top 3 fishing destinations for small mouth bass in the State of Missouri! The park is popular for a number of reasons. One...the sites aren't all jammed in tight next to one another. Two...the majority of the renters have shade due to tree placement. The park rents canoes, kayaks, & tubes and "drops off" the floaters at the public access in the town of Marquand. The floaters will enjoy the "level 1" float trip for three miles down the river and return back to the beach at CRRC. Due to the increasing popularity of floating trips over the past couple of years, I believe that a solid social media presence and a "PPC" program on google could increase the revenue from outside floaters by a significant margin. The majority of guests come from Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Jackson, Dexter, and other miscellaneous locations within the Missouri Bootheel.
