Position Summary

The RV Park Maintenance Person is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the RV park facilities and grounds. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, landscaping, and ensuring all park amenities are in good working condition to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for guests.

Key Responsibilities

Grounds Maintenance

• Collaborate with groundskeeper in maintaining park grounds including mowing lawns, trimming trees, removing debris, and maintaining landscaping.
• Keep RV sites clean and ready for guest arrivals.
• Maintain roads, walkways, and common areas.

Facility Maintenance

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on park buildings, restrooms, laundry rooms, and recreational areas.
• Maintain plumbing, electrical hookups, water systems, and sewer connections for RV sites.
• Ensure lighting and utility systems are functioning properly.

Repairs & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests or park management.
• Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required.

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Empty trash containers and maintain waste disposal areas.
• Keep all public areas and park free from trash

Guest Assistance

• Assist guests with minor RV hookup issues (water, sewer, electric).
• Provide friendly customer service and respond to guest questions or concerns.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow safety procedures and maintain compliance with park regulations and local codes.
• Identify and report safety hazards.
• Maintain maintenance equipment and tools in safe working order.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment and maintenance tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in campground or RV park maintenance.
• Knowledge of RV hookups and utility systems.
• Experience with landscaping equipment.

Work Schedule

• May include weekends and holidays.
• On-call availability may be required for urgent maintenance issues.
