This Grand Design Solitude was curated by a family that wanted to rack up memories of big adventures instead of small screens. We drove a loop around what we have now confirmed is the most beautiful country in the world, and it was. The. BEST!

But now that we've settled on a firm foundation, we want to pass our home-on-wheels to the next family of nomads.

Sol (as we call him) was outfitted specifically for people who love to be close, but also need a little space (read: real doors). We comfortably fit 3 kids in the bunkhouse thanks to a few mods from our resident craftsman. Unlike anything you'll find on the lot, Sol's bunkhouse has an extra toy storage and play area (complete with bungies!) and a retrofit closet with shelves. These add-ons and others (like the starry-night ceiling!) are what transformed Sol from a dealership's drone into a real home.

Ask any mom what's missing from every RV on the lot: storage! In the kitchen, Sol has a full residential fridge/freezer and a huge pantry, which are crucial to keeping the 3-burner stove, oven, and full-sized microwave churning out yums for those off-the-grid weeks. Oh and, have you ever walked into an RV and thought, "where are we supposed to put our shoes?" The dealership doesn't have an answer for you, but we do! A custom-built dining table with shoe storage underneath, coat and gear storage in the benches, and enough seats for the whole family. We actually put in a few book shelves as well (another thing we actually never found on the lot) and stocked them full of games for those not-rare-enough rainy days (thanks, atmospheric river!)

While the two bathrooms replete with towel storage, medicine cabinets, and a surprisingly great shower should really get a lot more press, the limited word count of this ad forces us to shift the limelight to where the real magic really happens: the Master Bedroom.

And, of course, you know what I mean by magic (wink, wink)

LAUNDRY!!!!

If you have kids who still pee on things, I know you'll be as excited as I was to find a REAL WASHER AND DRYER THAT ACTUALLY WORK nestled between two stinkin'-huge his-and-hers closets.

Running out of room. Other important things: 2 full solar panels, lots of battery power, outdoor kitchen, Starlink included, new brakes, best year of your life.
