Description

This adventure van is the perfect way to camp. Put it in park, unfold two camp chairs, and you are done with set up. The 59PX has all the bells and whistles: super comfortable full size Murphy bed, generator, air conditioner, two feet of extended "garage space" in the back(big enough for two bikes hung from the gear attachment points), two-burner propane stove, propane furnace/hot water heater with thermostat, 21 gallons freshwater, 21 gallon gray water holding tank, cassette toilet (we have taken great pains to make sure this has been #1 only), shower, two outdoor wash stations with hot and cold water, 12 volt refrigerator, 12 volt house battery recently replaced, solar panel, and 30amp electrical hookup. This Solis does not have the pop top, and is perfect for a couple with dog(s). Winnebago has figured out every possible convenience to pack into this van, to include a place to attach your dog's leash to the running board once you are in camp. We added an offhighwayvan.com rear ladder with spare tire mount, Method Race Wheels (MR703, same rims Winnebago added to the Solis Natl Park Foundation Limited Edition), Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires (stock size LT225/75R16), a Moon Shade awning (7ftx9ft moonfab.com), WeatherTech floor mat, neoprene front seat covers, nylon jump seat cover. The tires have been a great addition. This van is not designed for aggressive off-roading, but we have safely gotten it into some spectacular locations on dirt forest roads, including a crazy steep muddy road near Redwoods Natl Park. The Wildpeaks are amazingly capable, and are very sure footed in the rain. The awning is also a key addition, as it creates an outdoor living and cooking space when it is rainy or very sunny. This van has been perfect. We have seen seven national parks in the last fifteen months. We can't say the word adventure around our Labrador unless the van is loaded and ready to go, because he goes nuts with excitement. One of the features we didn't fully appreciate until we started travelling is the size. At 21 feet long you can park it in a standard parking spot, including parallel parking in town. It allows you to stop and see whatever you want without having to worry about a giant rig or a trailer. Also, the interior size is more roomy than similar adventure vans that cost three times as much. The van is also very easy and comfortable to drive, my wife has taken a couple solo trips for work with no issues. Like new condition, ready for the next adventure.
