I am currently living in the vehicle. 4x4 has been tested in the forest and desert. 4H works great. the 4LO is amazing. Even without the lockers engaged, it gives you a huuuuge boost in low end torque and off road peace of mind. It basically ensures that you wont get stuck trying to get into spots on dirt roads. I haven't tested the vehicle with the lockers engaged yet. While Im sure this Rig is very capable, I don't plan on ever pushing this vehicle hard off road. I got it so I wouldnt get stuck on normal dirt roads and pullouts, and it does that perfectly.

Unlike modern gas vans that use complex diesel engines or small gas engines with a turbo to satisfy government emissions regulations, achieve acceptable horsepower and get good gas mileage, this van instead uses the 5.4 engine that has been around since the mid 90s in most ford vans/trucks and is still in production today.

While it doesn't get as good gas mileage of modern vans, the engine will reward you with amazing reliability and cheap/easy service anywhere in the country that services ford engines.
