Location Description
The property is 10 acres located across from Half Moon Bay in Winchester Bay, Oregon. Located 4 miles from Reedsport and 25 miles from both Florence and North Bend. Getting here is easy, we are just off Highway 101. The Pacific ocean is a short 1/2 mile walk from the park and perfect for kids and animals. The bay offers great fishing from a boat or from the shore, in addition there’s a crabbing dock 1/4 mile from the park. A huge asset of the location is that the Oregon Coast sand dunes are located approximately 200 yards from the park entrance. The sand dunes are known to draw visitors from Washington, all parts of Oregon, California, Nevada, Canada, and many other places from the United States and Overseas. Winchester Bay is home to the tallest sand dunes on the Oregon Coast. The sand dunes have areas for hikers as well as ATV Riders looking for some thrills. Additional attractions include the Umpqua Lighthouse (1/4 mile away), Lake Marie (1/3 mile away), and the Umpqua River (1/2 mile away). Discovery Point has the closest to a perfect location as possible, close to town, the beach, the sand dunes, and offering activities and attractions for everyone in the family. Stay one night in a bay-front sight and wake up to the waves crashing on the rocks and you’ll see why everyone leaves happy and returns as soon as possible.
