RV Park Manager

Objective: We are seeking a fulltime position: Jackie in front desk/office and Helton in landscaping/maintenance. We have been working as managers of a campground for awhile now but due to the economy, business has dropped and our hours are being cut dramatically. We would prefer a position that is year round but will consider all possibilities. Previous to this we worked seasonally at an amusement park in Kentucky: Jackie as manager of the park's cafe and Helton as ride operator. Before that we were working as assistant managers of an rv/mobile home park in California for almost two years. Helton has many years of experience in landscaping, maintenance, driving heavy machinery, laying concrete, fixing sprinkler systems, etc. He takes great pride in his work, is responsible, and hard working. Jackie has worked the last seven years in the front office of different campgrounds. She has experience using Roz, Campground Manager, Campground Master, and Reserve Right software programs. Previous to being on the road she was a school teacher for 25 years having taught every grade from kindergarten thru twelth. She has leadership and management skills besides being professional, self motivated, organized and works well under pressure. Background: Helton worked for many years at a 350 home 55+ retirement community in Florida where he was responsible for taking care of the grounds, doing landscaping, using riding mowers, driving heavy machinery and doing maintenance for whatever needed to be done. He was also a tire mechanic for nine years. Working in the office Jackie handles cash/credit card transactions, does end of shift and monthly closeouts, pays bills, does bank deposits, collects rent, takes reservations, and completes guest registrations. In some campgrounds she also worked in their store dealing with customers, operated a cash register, and inventoried and stocked supplies. While working as a teacher, in the summer, she would work as an office temp doing data entry and using spreadsheets with Excel. Remarks: We've been rvers for years, fulltimers for almost seven years. We live in a 2006 36 foot fifth wheel pulled by a Ford truck. We are both willing to go the extra mile to get things done. There is flexibility in our start and finish dates. We also desire the opportunity to work in an environment where we can interact with people and put our skills to good use. We can work alone or as a team player.
