RV Park Work Camping Position

A small resort located in Darby in the Bitterroot Valley of southwestern Montana is looking for part time managers of cabins and RV sites.  We need a dependable couple who are non-smokers, team players endowed with people skills, and in good physical condition. 

You will live onsite in your own RV and fill in for the owner/managers.  The position is very flexible with the owners on duty most of the time, leaving you plenty of leisure time.  In exchange for full hookups, duties include office time, lawn maintenance, light building maintenance, and occasional help with the laundry and watering plants.  The office time is spent answering phone calls, making reservations and checking in guests.  The only time spent in the office is to check in guests or to assist a guest with needs.  Workers will have a cordless phone and intercom in their RV when on duty so there is no sitting in the office.  Lawn maintenance includes mowing, using a zero-radius riding lawnmower, and monitoring the irrigation system.  Cleaning the cabins is an option for additional wages, but it is not one of the required duties, as the owners hire seasonal housekeepers. 

In addition to relieving the owners for a few hours each week as described above, the work campers will be required to take over full management of the resort when the owners wish to be away for an extended period of time of a few days to an occasional week.  The work campers will be paid a daily rate in addition to the full hookup site on these occasions.  The preferred commitment is from May 15th through mid-October, but these dates are flexible.
